We’re always interested in having colleagues, partners, friends, and Kimco associates share their expertise with the industry on the Kimco blog. In addition to welcoming your article pitches, we would also love to feature photography, videos, audio, and anything else you feel would provide value to our audience of retailers, retail investors, partners, and Kimco associates.
Here are our requirements for submissions.
- Please send us your post as a Word document or Google Doc.
- Word count should be approximately 500 to 1,000 words. However, if your post runs longer, please suggest how it could be broken up into multiple posts.
- Include a catchy headline that tells readers what the post is about.
- Every guest contributor gets a short bio in the post. Include a bio about yourself (three to five sentences). Feel free to link to your company, blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, or other social handles.
- Please submit clean work. Proof your post for spelling and grammar, and fact check.
Some other notes:
We review all submissions, but we don’t guarantee its publication. However, if we think your submission is close to something we’d accept, you might hear back from us with feedback on how to improve it to better meet what we’re looking for. Again, a revised submission is not guaranteed to be published. But we will review it according to our standard review process.
By submitting content to us, you are affirming that the content is original to you, the author.
Feel free to include accurate, relevant hyperlinks as you see fit to further explain a phase or concept. To keep editorial standards high, hyperlinking should not be gratuitous or overly self-promotional.
Similarly, your post should not be overly promotional of yourself or companies that you work for, or have a business relationship with.
By sending a submission to Kimco, you are giving us permission to edit all content (including the article, hyperlinks, and bio), and publish it on our blog. You, the author, retain the copyright of your work.
We’re interested in articles about retail real estate, leasing, property management, corporate and social responsibility, institutional partnerships, and retailing. We especially seek those that focus on analysis and advice. Please read our blog for examples of our subject matter, style, and tone. We welcome posts that are analytical, intelligently critical, and aren’t afraid to dive deeply into a topic.
If this all sounds good, please send us your submission and we will review it. If you have a question about what you can submit, please contact us.
We look forward to working with you.
