Will Teichman

My name is Will Teichman and I’m Kimco’s Director of Sustainability. I work together with colleagues from across the company to develop, implement, and communicate Kimco’s sustainability programs, which are focused on reducing our environmental impact while delivering additional value for our stakeholders. I joined Kimco on Valentine’s Day in 2011, relocating from Minnesota to one of Kimco’s North Carolina offices (the temperature was 80 degrees warmer when I arrived in Charlotte). Before Kimco, I consulted with businesses and other institutions to help them solve operational and product-related environmental challenges. Working in this field is both challenging and rewarding – and I’ve always sought out opportunities to have a meaningful and lasting impact. I’m fortunate to work for an organization with both a rich history and a commitment to remaining innovative. I am originally from North Carolina, and was educated in Virginia. I hold an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and politics from Washington and Lee University. I live with my wife and son in Charlotte.

In these instances, we made strategic investments in improved technology that will reduce and offset the cost and environmental impact of energy consumption at individual properties.… Read More

Two of Kimco’s properties, which are part of our corporate-wide sustainability program, were in the news lately. Our Bridgewater Promenade and Edgewater Commons shopping centers have powered up their new rooftop solar installations, which will supply an estimated 1.3 million kilowatt hours of clean, zero-emission power annually to the centers’ tenants.… Read More
