Doug Schooley

Welcome to Kimco's blog. I'm Doug Schooley, Director of Real Estate for the North Texas and Oklahoma Region at Kimco. I oversee a portfolio of 19 shopping centers, comprising over 2.8 million square feet. My direct responsibilities are leasing activities, but I'm also involved with the day-to-day operations of our centers, as well as assisting our acquisition team. I've been in the shopping center industry for nearly 25 years, spending the last six at Kimco. Before this, I worked at CentreCorp, an affiliate of one of Kimco's Canadian partners, North American Development Group, for 11 years. I'm a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Texas. I was born and raised in Canada, and went to Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, where I received a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in accounting. I relocated from Canada back in 1998 to the Dallas area, where I now live with my wife and two kids (one girl and one boy). I'm an avid hockey fan, and hope that some day during my life time the Toronto Maple Leafs will win a Stanley Cup (or based on their performance over the last six years, make the playoffs).
