Kimco’s shopping centers “hopped” with Easter activity
A springtime staple, the Easter Bunny had a busy year at our shopping centers enjoying Easter egg hunts, selfies, and candy galore. He hopped his way to different shopping centers throughout Kimco’s national portfolio.
The first Easter celebration was at Anaheim Plaza in Anaheim, California. On Saturday, April 8 attendees brought cameras for selfies with the Easter Bunny, and participated in family-friendly activities throughout the day. A few highlights included giveaways for the first 100 kids, raffle prizes, a DJ spinning family favorites, face painting, and a rabbit petting zoo.
His next stop was at Wexford Plaza in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where crowds of kids and parents enjoyed great weather while searching for Easter eggs, petting farm animals, and creating Easter decorations.
The Easter Bunny also made his way to Braelinn Village, in Peachtree City, Georgia, where dozens of children participated in Easter-themed face painting, hula hooping, and games.
The popular party-goer stopped by the Spring Party at Westlake Shopping Center in Daly City, California, where he was joined by a variety of Walt Disney Characters, and attendees snacked on delicious Easter treats.
The world traveler even journeyed to Plaza Centro, in Caguas Puerto Rico, where an Easter Bunny Garden was prepared, and children were able to meet and take free photos with the Easter Bunny and his friends, including Alvin and the Chipmunks, Mickey and Minnie, and many more.
The Easter Bunny made an appearance at Kimco’s Crossroads Plaza in Cary, North Carolina. Over 1,500 guests were in attendance enjoying the holiday. Ten thousand eggs were discovered in two egg hunts (one for younger bunnies and another one for the older children), and guests were entertained with craft activities, a bounce house, games, coloring stations, selfie stations, and more. Cary’s own White Tiger Demo Team, a martial arts group, wowed the crowds with multiple performances throughout the day and there was even an Easter train!
His last stop was at the Marketplace at Factoria in Bellevue, Washington on April 15. The Star 101.5 team organized Easter egg prizes, prize drawings every 15 minutes, crafts, and an Easter Bunny backdrop for photo ops. 250 Marketplace coloring books were given away and 50 plush bunnies were awarded on the prize wheel. Around 400 children and their families turned out to celebrate.
The Kimco team hopes that you and your loved ones enjoyed a great Easter and perhaps got a peek of the Easter Bunny as well!
