The recent grand opening of Anna’s Linens in Kimco’s Plaza Centro mall was one of the best openings in the company’s 25-year history. Lines stretched from the store out to the mall’s main entrance and into the parking lot, with customers eager to shop the new specialty retailer in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Much of the excitement is due to the new product offerings and shopping experience that Anna’s Linens is now providing area customers. The retailer stocks high-quality, value-priced home furnishings, including bedding, window coverings, bath accessories, and other home décor. Until now, there have been limited choices for these items in a large-format, specialty store, and at the highly competitive prices that Anna’s Linens offers.

The Plaza Centro location is the third Anna’s Linens in Kimco’s Puerto Rican portfolio, joining locations at our Trujillo Alto Plaza in Trujillo Alto and our Ponce Towne Center in Ponce. The grand openings of Anna’s Linens at these centers were the best in the retailer’s history, and early assessments indicate its Plaza Centro opening brought in similarly strong results.

The Trujillo Alto and Ponce stores also continue to be among the strongest in the retailer’s chain of some 300 locations, and we believe the Plaza Centro location of Anna’s Linens will continue that high performance trend.
